Federation Command

Greetings dear friends

It is with great exuberance that I come to your forums today. I have come not only to convey a friendly greeting but since it has come to my attention that the United Federation of Planets has merged with Federation Command, I also have come to renew the bonds between our two communities. It goes without saying that both communities were well known for their own unique achievements and I have admired the demeanor and the endeavors of your leaders in many occasions. I have also, in many other occasions, battled alongside many of you in Bridge Commander and have witnessed your fleet’s pragmatism, and again it goes without saying that they were a more then fine example of the meaning of a true resolve. I have also witnessed the unwavering trust, friendship and dedication that we have shared through the history of our great community.

I am not saying this to simple flatter you, the proof is on both our forums, I speak of when Fleet Admiral Picard supported us when we had some discrepancies with other communities, I speak of the countless engagements in Bridge commander in which we have fought alongside with Fleet Admiral TParis, Admiral Alexraptor and many other valiant members, [SF] and [UFP] all fighting side by side against threats such as IOC. Now that [UFP] name is no more, and that Federation Command is reborn I wish to see our relationship renewed.

With this final note I extend an invitation to our forums or our TeamSpeak server and hope to hear from you soon.

UFP has merged into FC like Poland merged into Germany. It was not with her consent that she bent to the will of FC. Nevertheless, it was a necessary act to preserve the identity of our community. For you see, whether we call ourselves FC, UFP, FEDS, RF, whatever it doesn't really matter. What we really are are the people behind the name. Our community is built around a set of ideals and a network of friendships which endure through time. It is these ideals and friendships which have remained a staunch ally and advocate of SF for over a decade.

Our ideals are actually based on an early version of SF. You could say that early SF is like the kernel of our community. In fact, many of our most seasoned veterans including myself and Picard, learned the ropes while serving in SF. My first time leading a Fleet was when I commanded SF. So we share more than allegiance, we share ancestry and history. We are, in essence, extended family. But it has not been without challenges. Family doesn't always get along. But some bonds can't be broken, and it is for this reason that I am happy to see a representative of SF post here.

Welcome to our forums, and like countless others before you, make yourself at home.

I thank you for warm welcome and I vouch for the set ideals that i have seen countless of times from your members. That is why I wish to set forth a proposal to Federation Command, a NAP with SF. Currently the status we have with FC is simply neutral, that is why I wish to cement our friendship by at least signing a NAP. Finally i present my sincere apologies concerning my misinterpretation of the transcribed events, i was unaware of the circumstances of the merger but nonetheless as you have said, the name we choose doesn't define who we are. I digress, i eagerly await your decision .

Welcome back to our forums Saber. It is always a pleasure to welcome our friends from Starfleet.

GIven our long mutual history, including 11 years of non-aggression and many allied assists, a NAP may not be the best way to approach renewed relations. I would be more interested in signing agreements which see cooperation between our two fleets, especially in the rhelm of STO, rather than ancient strategic pacts which are of ceremonial value in this day and age. Please let me know if this modern style of diplomacy is palatable to your commanders. 8-)
