Re: The beauty of Generations
Indeed. I think Star Trek is losing it with these new films they are creating. They old times should be honoured. They last holy film they created was Nemesis.
Re: The beauty of Generations
I am still not over the death of Kirk and destruction of the Enterprise-D. Rewatching Generations is like opening an old wound. I prefer to live in denial.
Thank you,

Re: The beauty of Generations
The way Nemesis ended was a good choice, especially leaving it open for the next generation cast in the future. If there is going to be a new cast I certainly do not want JJ getting his hands on it. Fuck that!

Not really. The story was closed. Those characters are done. Data is dead, Riker and Troi are on another ship, Worf is off being an ambassador somewhere.
It's just Picard, Beverly and Geordi.

Re: The beauty of Generations
Technically, it was not. They left it open for a new generation CAST to take over as I said before. Data is not dead really, simply because his memories are still in that android. It will only take time for his system to adapt with all the stuff that Data transferred in him. Why do you think Picard was smiling at the end? Because he knows, it is only a matter of time.
They have left it open for new actors and new characters for the Enterprise in the future.
We all don't want JJ having his hands on it.

We might see another cast that will succeed TNG but I don't think we'll ever have another movie with Picard. They're all getting too old.
Thank you,

I think they could do one more. A generations style ending for Picard. He deserves it.Picard wrote:We might see another cast that will succeed TNG but I don't think we'll ever have another movie with Picard. They're all getting too old.

Yeah it would be great but I don't think it's going to happen since they are not heading in the same direction. It would be as if they had done another Kick movie after Generations.

I personally don't think they will do another. They've done enough now and they all moved on.
