I heard the news as I was driving home from work.

It was an event all of us knew would happen in our life times but hoped would come when we were older, wiser, and more prepared for such tragedy. Not since the death of Arthur C Clarke have I felt such emotion for the passing of someone I've never met but felt was part of my life. As with Clarke, my memories of Nimoy will last my lifetime.
