Its gonna get even worse. According to my girlfriend, there is now broadband whatsoever in a mile radius of the house I'm moving to...

No, her grandparents own the house i'm moving into... Or we are moving into, more precisely.

EDIT: damn autocorr, its supposed to say "no broadband whatsoever" in the first post.

It's faster than Usain Bolt being chased by the KKK in a warp-speed capable vessel.

sujith, that's not a good internet connection speed anywhere... but i'm spoiled by good internet connectivity.

To everyone else: i get somewhere in the vicinity of 20Mbps down, 6Mbps up. Note of course that's on my primary system which is broken and needs repair :/

check your speed at speedtest.net there is no way in the world you loaded the website and were able to browse the forums if that was infact your real speed.

I am sick of seeing this thread being made millions of times. Can't we make a sticky thread where people can continuously post on that specific thread?

If only but I'm afraid that it is unlikely for you see that the people who have a constant need to compare and contrast their internet speeds need to show it to the whole world to help make themselves feel like they've accomplished something which is in fact trivial. Of course, what they fail to realize when they place these speedtest.net images in their signatures or in new forum posts is that they are merely faster than 83% to 84% of a country's population and have yet again failed to achieve the top ten, five, two, or one percent tiers.

And that is why another one of these threads will be made by someone next year :).
